Bigger the Better? I Don't Think So!

Okay, so Rebecca Minkoff does an Instagram of her new pouch designers pretty much every other day,
Antik Batik releases a fall collection with killer zipper bags that are to die for,
Now Refinery 29 makes an "exclusive" kat clutch launching as their very first bag campaign.

I thought my obsession with small purses this summer was just part of my usual shopping therapy, but it looks like this fall, there's going to a clutch trend that's not hard to hold on to.

Time to break out your old wristlets, forget about that Marc Jacobs tote you're thinking about purchasing and find a trending new clutch that fits your compact and not much else! So much for everything but the kitchen sink in your purse.

Keep calm and carry less.

The Weekender

Summer Nights. Hot and Sticky.
This is what I live for.
From dusk to dark - it fades to night,
but my look is nothing short of tired.
With bright and bold colors I'm ready to go all weekend long.

Sun has fallen but my spirits are up. In a city that never sleeps, at day's end I'm headed out. Leaving home ready for wherever the night takes me. Lock-n-key, my look is set.

Only Out Thrifting....

There are certain items that you won't find anywhere except while out thrifting. I've learned that it's only acceptable to display a DVD player next to a Barbie doll and a pair of jelly sandals and fish net stocking both "on sale" for a dollar.

Some times you find a gem but most times you're looking a a pile of junk. I get pleasure out of both - I'm a closet hoarder and to me, these people are professionals. It's amazing the things they find (and sell). Like they say, one man's trash is another man's trash....in the most treasure able way.

I wasn't sure if this mannequin was actually for sale or waiting to be dressed for display, but I was pretty close to asking how much he wanted for it until I thought about how I would carry it home...

I was intrigued by the old school telephone and matching table wear, but being guarded by a two headed dragon, I didn't dare fight him for it.

Prom shopping anyone?

If anyone is headed to a disco party and in search of an afro, gold chains or anything metallic, head to the Vintage Market on Avenue A

Creepy dolls, cats statues and salt and pepper shakers of dutch milk maids scattered table after table. 3 for a dollar? I'll take it!

Let's Get Some Shoes!

My very first Hava purchase!!! It may seem like in the game to be making my first sale, but waiting for the perfect item was totally worth it.

Fitting to my personality, these heels are classic with a tiny flare of sass. I'll be strutin' these babies soon. Until then - feast your eyes on these:

Traveling the world has never been so easy. Working with photographer Hallie Geller on her shoot with Yael Guetta last week was a world wind experience, to say the least.

From the World With Love is more than a concept - It's a way of living, appreciating and becoming a part of our world in a new way. By acquiring the fashions, arts and uniquely designed items straight from their origins of creation, the beauty and preservation of cultural influence is continued.

This is the idea behind FTWWL in which Yael hopes to achieve. She's spent her life traveling, learning and absorbing fashion worldwide. Through her times spent in Paris, Africa and India, all the way to New York City's Central Park, where our photo shoot took place, she's curate a collection that is incomparable to anything I've seen before.

Being an assistant on the shoot, I saw first hand the detail and craftsmanship of every scarf, tunic, headpiece and fabric Yael had purchased on her latest trip to Thailand. Hallie Geller's personal and heartfelt way of capturing each look displayed Yael's message to perfection.

Having the chance to try on a few of Yael's precious pieces, I felt myself embarking on an adventure to far away destinations of my own. Getting the chance to expand my outlook on fashion through the viewpoint and perspectives of Yael Guetta was more than eye opening - it was a lesson like no other in just what "from the world with love" truly means.

Flea Don't botha Me

From the Green Flea Market on 76th and Columbus,
to Ladies and Gentlemen in the Lower East Side,
I've been through more piles of junk, priceless treasures and vintage pieces than imaginable.

A great day of shopping. Another weekend adventure completed. Amazing finds in NYC.

Cheers Govna!

The NYC heat didn't stop me from adventuring to Governor's Island for the day. With the sea breeze to cool me, I petaled around on my bike, took in the sun, and ate lunch overlooking the city from afar. Perfection at its best. Another day, another moment to take it all in.

Treat Yourself to Luxury - La Petite Coquette

Of all the shop I've been in throughout New York City, La Petite Coquette is by far one of my favorites. After entering it's doors and being greeted by Rebecca Apsan, owner and mastermind behind the stores success for over 30 years, I immediately scened the passion, love and un-comparably unique aura surrounding me.

Channelling my inner 50's with a pair of vintage sunglasses and retro headband. Nothing says girl power more than a women who isn't afraid to show her guns (and glamorous accessories)!

Market Place

If you haven't been to Chelsea Market, you haven't seen nothing yet. From ice cold gelato to ice packed seafood, there is something for everyone. Not only is there a mixture of restaurants, delis and italian style grocers, but you can dine and find amazing shopping as well.

Each time I stroll through the market place, I discover new treats and treasures, edible and eye-catching.

Of course, with one comes another and when traveling to Chelsea Market you're a fool for not taking a walk on The High Line to follow. In the hot (now) July air, nothing feels more refreshing then the New york breeze off the Hudson river and a stroll through New Yorks, one of a kind railroad park.
